A Diesel Gala will take place over the weekend of 23rd October and 24th October 2010.

This gala will be in a similar format to last year's gala. HST locomotives will be hauling trains on the Peak Rail main line and also providing a brake van shuttle service.

Both of our sheds will be open for inspection and the HST fleet will be positioned in advantageous positions for photography.

The star of this year's gala should be D2337 as 03113  may not now be ready in time for the event.

We plan to use at least ten of our shunters over the weekend.

Hopefully D9525 will be able to perform on the main line this time.

There is also a diesel gala at Ruddington the same weekend therefore visitors can easily access both galas over the weekend.

    Past Diesel Galas

A selection of photos are below of the various diesel galas held by the HST. They are in no particular order or year and represent the HST doing what they do best and that is running passenger trains using shunting engines for the delight of the general public. Next year's gala information can be found above when the dates are known.
