Membership

The Heritage Shunters Trust are always looking for new members to join the group. The group needs membership monies to fund the acquisition of shunters from both home and overseas and to overhaul these shunters together with shunters that are already owned by the Heritage Shunters Trust.

At present we have 15 life members and approximately 50 Adult/Junior members.

Members receive regular issues of 'The Coupling Rod' magazine which has Heritage Shunters Trust past and forthcoming gala news, stock overhaul news, photos, members articles and lots more.

Members can also volunteer to work on the locomotives at weekend.

A meeting of the Trustees of the HST was held in March 2008. It was decided reluctantly that membership subscription rates must increase from 1st April 2008. This is the first membership subscription rate increase for 15 years. Paper, postage and printing costs have risen dramatically during this time therefore the trustees felt that an increase in membership subscription rates was long overdue.
